{"value"=>"<p>This subseries chronologically details Amacher's music compositions from 1960 to 2006. It is arranged into two groups, Notes and Scores, which comprises notebooks, composition notes, and scores; and Recordings, which is mostly audio recordings, some of which are accompanied by additional notes.</p> <p>Most heavily represented in the Notes and Scores is Amacher's 1967 electroacoustic work, <span class=\"title\">Adjacencies</span>. There are several scores for the piece, robust composition notes, and playback instructions. The \"Notebook Series\" file also contains notes and notation for <span class=\"title\">Adjacencies</span>, as well as <span class=\"title\">Arcade</span> and the <span class=\"title\">Audjoins</span> suite. A separate <span class=\"title\">Arcade</span> file holds scores and working notes.</p> <p>Several of Amacher's projects from the 1990s are held here, namely her contributions to <span class=\"title\">The Throne of Drones</span> and <span class=\"title\">A Storm of Drones</span> CD compilations, and her own album, <span class=\"title\">Sound Characters (Making the Third Ear)</span>. The latter is especially prominent, featuring studio notes, royalty statements, descriptions, and acknowledgements. Press materials for <span class=\"title\">Sound Characters</span> can also be found in Series VIII. Additionally, there are audio and tuning notes for Amacher's 2006 electroacoustic composition, <span class=\"title\">GLIA</span>, and notes for two 1990s compositions, \"Chorale\" and \"Spiral Circles\" (which Amacher also referred to as \"Spiral Circu\" or \"Spiral Circulation\").</p> <p>Some of the recordings in subseries III.A. mirror the content in the notes and scores. There are recordings of several performances and rehearsals of <span class=\"title\">Adjacencies</span>, while \"Chorale\" and \"Spiral Circles\" each contain over a dozen recordings, including masters and demos. Elsewhere, Amacher's early tape piece, <span class=\"title\">Here</span>, features mixes, demos, and source recordings, while a set of audio recordings labeled \"Tower Masters\" contains sources for assorted compositions and installations. Also of note are source recordings dated from 1968 to 1969 that originate from Trumansburg, New York.</p>"}
