{"value"=>"<p>Subseries II.C. extensively documents performances Amacher gave from the 1960s through 2009, including commissioned works. Some of the performances were conceived as multi-day installations, while others were one-off events, often at festivals. These performances and commissions are distinct from <span class=\"title\">City-Links</span>, <span class=\"title\">Music for Sound-Joined Rooms</span>, and <span class=\"title\">Mini-Sound Series</span> installations. Files are arranged chronologically, and named either by title of the performed work or performance location. Notes, sheet music, schedules, technical specifications, and recordings primarily comprise this subseries.</p> <p>The project with the most comprehensive materials in this subseries is <span class=\"title\">TEO! A Sonic Sculpture</span>, which was conceived as a sound installation for Esplanade des Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City in 2005. There are both recording of and substantial research notes about muons, subatomic particles whose sounds Amacher recorded in a cave underneath the Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan. There are also project descriptions, audio treatments, technical specifications, and notes about Amacher's 2008 album, <span class=\"title\">Sounds Characters 2 (Making Sonic Spaces)</span>, that features <span class=\"title\">TEO!</span> performance recordings. Also of note are photographs of Amacher making recordings in the pyramid cave.</p> <p>Several performances from the 1970s are featured here. \"Sea Legs,\" a 1973 video work conceived with David Atwood and Ron Hays at the Center for Advanced Visual Studies and broadcast on television, is represented by technical specifications and performance notes. There are also early project notes and performance recordings for <span class=\"title\">Listening at the Boundary: A Scenario from Sound Saga</span>. This performance, which emerged from an unrealized 1976 FM stereo project inspired by the writings of Arthur C. Clarke, was presented at The Kitchen in New York City in 1977, and again in the Netherlands in 1978. There are recordings and notes present for both performances.</p> <p>Numerous recordings from \"Intercept,\" Amacher's 1983 WNYC commission, along with documentation pertaining to a subsequent performance at The Kitchen in New York City, are held here. The recordings were grouped together, but it is unclear if they all relate to \"Intercept,\" as some predate the commission by several years, and others date from over a decade later.</p> <p>Other performances represented in this subseries include \"Petra\" at ISCM World Music Days in 1990; Woodstock '94; Amacher's participation in the 2002 Whitney Biennial; and her final completed work, <span class=\"title\">Brückenfindings</span>, performed in Berlin in June 2009.</p>"}
