They comprise memoranda and correspondence about plans, schedules, itineraries, and hotel and transportation arrangements, as well as letters of appreciation to notables he met with, staff members and others who entertained him, and staff members, travel agents, and hotel, airline and shipping executives who assisted with the arrangements. Several types of papers involving AMR's travels are filed elsewhere: those dealing with subjects discussed during the trips, speeches he gave and other substantive matters are under the relevant subjects or, where appropriate, under the names of the persons involved. Trips to conferences, conventions, college campuses and other institutions visited are under the names of the organizations or institutions.
