Memoranda, clippings, news releases and other papers about the integration of the Sunday Department into the News Department under AMR, with the elimination of the position of Sunday editor (1976). Of special interest is AMR's memorandum to AOS (March 1976) outlining the reasons for integration. Note that correspondence about the integration is filed in the next folder, and that related material will be found in the folders dealing with specific Sunday sections. As previously stated, folder (2) contains letters and notes to AMR about the unification of the News and Sunday Departments, with his replies.
