The papers include: memoranda on the question of seeking information on any involvement of Times personnel or stringers with the CIA under the Freedom of Information Act or by other legal means (1976-1977, 1980); AMR's memorandum on his interview with Pres. Carter and his and AOS's correspondence with CIA Dir. Turner on the issue of using journalists (1980); an anonymous pamphlet listing journalists linked to the CIA (1978); memoranda on a Times series on CIA and the press (1977-1978). The Glomar Explorer project (raising a sunken Soviet missile submarine) and the <span class=\"title\">Times</span> 's decision to delay publication of Seymour Hersh's story on it (1975, 1978).
