Of particular interest are numerous short pieces published in the magazine's \"Talk of the Town\" pages during 1942-1943, when items appeared in that column without by-lines. The bulk of the subseries comprises Logan's chronologically arranged research notes for her \"Around City Hall\" essays. Contained in boxes 4-40, these are primarily typewritten abstracts of Logan's readings from numerous daily newspapers and accounts of press conferences and television appearances by local politicians. The subseries also includes several boxes of unsorted galley proofs for dozens of Logan's <span class=\"title\">New Yorker</span> articles.</p>"}
