{"value"=>"<p>Masterworks Laboratory Theatre's (MLT) administrative files are held in Subseries I.B. and are arranged by subject into Financial Records; Governing Board; Publicity Materials; Grant Applications; Events; and Witcover Studios.</p> <p>Financial records include annual expense reports, event budget reports, inventory of stock, volunteer reports, and projected productions costs. MLT frequently hosted fundraising galas headlined by prominent friends or students, such as Jerry Stiller, Anne Meara, and Leyna Gabriele. Advertisements, ticket books, recorded audio of speeches and performances, and seating charts from these events are present. Completed grant applications to the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts are also included.</p> <p>Witcover Studios files hold materials from the Studio's Green Room bulletin board, files and bulletin board ephemera from Witcover's private office, the studio props list, space rental agreements with other acting companies, and a dissertation about MLT by David Sigel with handwritten comments by Witcover. There are also recorded interviews with Witcover and his students for a special benefit program.</p> <p>Also present in this series are four audio recordings of a 1996 memorial service for Richard Hughes, Witcover's longtime partner.</p>"}
