{"value"=>"<p>Materials related to theatrical productions put on by the Masterworks Laboratory Theatre are held in Subseries I.A. Files are arranged alphabetically by production title. Photographs, performance recordings, sound effect rolls, scripts, reviews, audience comments, and director's notebooks, are present in most production files throughout this subseries. The majority of the recordings originate from performance rehearsals, and the sound design rolls used during performances.</p> <p>Of particular note are the materials for <span class=\"title\">La Traviata</span>. Witcover's staging of the opera with the Actors Studio led him to create MLT, and it became one of the company's better-known productions.</p> <p>The original libretto, heavily annotated scripts, video recordings of early stagings, acting choreography notes, staging notes, and props lists from <span class=\"title\">La Traviata</span> showcase Witcover's evolution of the opera classic. <span class=\"title\">Boubouroche!</span>, <span class=\"title\">Domestic Relations</span>, <span class=\"title\">Lyric Theatre</span>, and <span class=\"title\">The Marriage</span> are also well represented.</p>"}
