{"value"=>"Many of the letters are about Allison's first recorded releases on RCA Victor, Ballads of the American Revolution and the War of 1812 (1940). These include letters from elementary schools, universities, museums, and newspapers. A section is dedicated to Allison's family history and relation to the Van Kleeck family, with newspaper clippings and correspondence with distant relatives. Some letters are from people sending their own American folk music verses or songs to be added to Allison's collection. There are also early drafts of essays by Allison sent out for submission. Some letters are from musicians requesting permission to perform an arrangement of a song that Allison held copyright to or musicians looking to locate source material and sheet music. Also there are letters here from school teachers interested in using Allison's album for educational purposes within American history courses and asking for any additional books or information."}
