{"value"=>"<p>Reverend Diane Lacey, a health advocate and administrator, was associated with multiple groups protesting Sydenham's closure. She served as co-chairperson of the Citywide Coalition of Blacks for Barbaro for Mayor, chair of the Citywide Coalition of Blacks for Responible Leadership (formerly Citywide Coalition of Blacks for Barbaro); and a chairperson of Coalition to Save Sydenham. She ran successfully for a district leader position in Central Harlem in 1975 and was a special assistant to the president of the NYC Health and Hospital Corporation, before resigning in 1976 to lead the Coalition to Save Sydenham. In 1979 she took up a board position on for the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation.</p>"}
