{"value"=>"
This subseries holds Channing's studio recordings from 1955 to 1983. It is ordered alphabetically by title, featuring demos and recordings from Channing's solo albums and singles, as well as songs she recorded for outside projects. There are no recordings in this subseries from musical cast albums. It is possible some recordings here, particularly those of a single song, are from live performances and not studio recordings, as little information is often written on the items.

The earliest recording in subseries VII.B. originates from the 1955 release, Archy and Mehitabel (A Back-Alley Opera), on which Channing sang with Eddie Bracken. There are also recordings for Channing's albums Carol Channing Sings the Pooh Songbook, Fooling Around with Carol Channing, and her collaboration with Webb Pierce, C & W.

Several albums on which Channing contributed singing are represented here, notably Ecology Songs for Children and Memories of the Roaring Twenties; complete scores for the latter are held in Series V: Notated Music and Lyrics.

Also of note are demos of Channing's music from the 1970s titled \"Carol Channing Songs.\"
"}
