In addition to founding the New Jersey chapter of the Northeasterners, Banks was a teacher and a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Speakers include Don Fitzroy, Banks's grand-nephew; Mary Sue Sweeney-Price, the CEO of the Newark Museum; Reverend William Guthrie; Dr. Robert Hayden, a historian, educator and author; Betty [Neels], a fellow Delta Sigma Theta sorority member; and Thomy D. Joyner, a founding member of the Northeasterners, Inc. New Jersey chapter. Music performed by the North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club, and Jennifer Fitzroy, Banks's great-niece.</p>"}
