Joseph lecture series, beginning with the lecture notes, programs, and correspondence from the 1991 inaugural lecture by James A. Joseph. Budget and expenditures, correspondence with host hotels and caterers, invitations, lecture transcripts, nomination forms, and speech drafts are also present. Lecturers were chosen each year by ABFE membership, and were not required to be a member of ABFE to be nominated. Like the annual programs, the lecture series was held in conjunction with the annual COF meetings and was open to all COF attendees.</p> <p>This subseries holds materials related to the lectures of Emmett D. Carson, Jean E. Fairfax, Anna Faith Jones, Elridge W. McMillan, and Bernard C. Watson. James A. Joseph was the honoree in both 1991 and 1998.</p> <p>ABFE did not have a James A. Joseph Lecture in 1997. Materials related to the 2001 honoree, Reatha Clark King, are also absent.</p>"}
