{"value"=>"<p>v01f01: Part 1 of 2.</p> <p>The following description is taken from the donor note for this recording: \"Taped interviews with people in a small rural settlement in the Ciskei Bantustan. These people had been forcibly removed from their ancestral farmlands hundred of miles away and dumped into the barren Ciskei homeland. The Ciskei settlement is divided into sections with the only productive and green land belonging to the Ciskei government or the white farmers. The Black people in the area have no productive land, no water and live in small cinderblock or plank housing. The settlement is divided into sections with the cinderblock housing reserved for those from the original settlement who did not resist the forced removal while those who did resist have been resettled in the plank housing. The people in this area speak Xhosa and so a translator was used.\"</p>"}
