{"value"=>"<p>The Appointment Books subseries dates from 1946 to 2019 and encompasses small pocket datebooks and yearly large-format desk appointment books. Though a few exceptions exist, this series is primarily limited to Meyer's professional activities, as he appears to have rarely recorded his feelings or other personal biographical details. One exception of special note is a small datebook from 1946 where Meyer wrote of his experiences hitchhiking across the country. The larger desk appointment books, which date from the 1970s and the 1990s, arrived full of loose items inserted into their dated pages. Typical items inserted are cards, invitations, and other small ephemera. These items have been removed and rehoused in separate folders with approximate dates noted. Smaller appointment books track Meyer's meetings and often contain to-do lists.</p>"}
