{"value"=>"
This subseries holds more than thirty costumes and articles of clothing, mostly designed by Charlip and Bill Gibb for dance and theater performances. Seventeen t-shirts and one sweatshirt designed by Charlip are also present, along with several props. A few additional costumes and t-shirts are held in series VII, on panels used in the Remy Charlip's World exhibition at the San Francisco Public Library. Costume lists and designs are in subseries I.A., as well as in the notebooks and journals in series III.

Several costumes in the collection were designed by Bill Gibb for Mad River, performed by the London Contemporary Dance Theatre in 1972 (Charlip choreographed the production). These consist of shorts, dresses, shirts, and a hat. Also present is the jacket Charlip designed for \"Glow Worm,\" performed on WGBH-TV. Other costumes include pants, a vest, bracelets, gloves, and hats.
