The three men, who were all well-known radical activists in Charlotte, were arrested in connection with the 1968 arson of the Lazy B Stables, a horse stable that had become integrated the year before. The arrests took place three years after the incident. All three men were convicted and in 1979 Governor Jim Hunt commuted their sentences.</p>"}
