{"value"=>"<p>Passport issued by the French ambassador Marquis d'Osmond, assuring safe passage from London to Dieppe. Signed by Osmond and Hogg, and endorsed by several authorities in Dieppe, Brussels, and Amsterdam. In May of 1816 Hogg had been led to expect that he was going to live with Percy Bysshe Shelley, Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, and Claire Clairmont in communal fashion, but Shelly instead, without informing him, disappeared to Switzerland, where he began his friendship with Lord Byron. It seems that Hogg consoled himself with this trip to Paris, Brussels, and Amsterdam.</p>"}
