{"value"=>"<p>Client Services (known as Clinical Services until the mid-1980s) is the oldest department at GMHC, and developed out of the Buddy Program, which was initiated in 1982. The department managed the following programs:</p> <p> Case Management</p> <p>Crisis Intervention Services</p> <p>Financial Advocacy</p> <p>Group Support</p> <p>Intake Unit</p> <p>Nutrition and Recreation Services</p> <p>Each of these departments had a director or coordinator who reported to the head of Client Services. Only the records of the Crisis Intervention Services and a small amount of material from the Intake Unit and the Nutrition and Recreation Services were transferred from GMHC. Some material from the other Client Services departments may be found dispersed throughout the collection.</p>"}
