In the letter to Mary Jane Godwin of 11 September, he mentions a bill upon Liverpool, and says that he will send it 'by this day's post to Richardson of Liverpool, requesting him to have the goodness to cause it to be presented for acceptance.… I sent to enquire at the London Coffee House, & was told that he would be perhaps be in town for a week' (Bod.
