{"value"=>"<p>A printed copy of the poem extracted from \"Sonnets from Various Authors\" (1796), where it appeared after having first been published in \"Poems\" (1796). Corrected in Coleridge's hand, with a fresh transcript of the first four lines; first line, \"Schiller! that hour I would have wish'd to die;\" endorsed by Joseph Cottle. This fragment clearly served as copy for \"Poems\" (1797) as evidenced by Coleridge deleting \"XXVIII\" and replacing it with the arabic numeral 8, and his note to the printer which begins, \"Arrange the first four lines as they are in my first Edition, i.e. according to the figures here.\" Friedrich Schiller's \"The Robbers\" first appeared in 1781.</p>"}
