Included is an indenture agreement between Samuel Smith and Rene Payne of the City of London Bankers and Carrington, and the conveyance of two-thirds of the plantation. On one eight-page vellum document there is a list of 237 enslaved people stating their names, jobs with separate categories for runaways and children too young to work, along with types of animal stock maintained.</p>"}
