{"value"=>"
This series is comprised of papers documenting Chamberlain Brown’s largely unsuccessful attempts at various commercial projects such as acting lessons and promotional tie-ins, as well as proposed productions, unproduced stock seasons, and papers relating to theater rentals for unspecified events.

One of Chamberlain Brown’s many failed production ideas was the Dollar Top Theatre (1933) which attempted to make live theater available to the general public at affordable prices. Its inaugural production at the Ritz Theatre, Hope of a Tree by Leopold L. Atlas, was switched before opening to the play Oliver Twist and the opening was postponed three times and apparently never opened.
"}
