{"value"=>"<p>This series consists of correspondence, talent forms, audition lists, programs, membership cards, and publicity materials relating to clubs either formed by Chamberlain Brown, or with which he was closely associated, namely, the Theatre Assembly. Brown’s clubs, such as Theatre Record Club, were frequently related to his other ventures, both productions and publications. The clubs included The Builders, Talent Matinee, Talent of the Hour Club, Theatre Lovers [sic] Club, and Theatre Record Club. Often, the purpose of the club was to showcase new talent in some way and featured guest judges. Chamberlain Brown would sometimes write to people in the news, including Eleanor Roosevelt, and theater notables to be judges. Club meetings were held at the Hotel Astor, Hotel Capitol, Carl Fischer Hall, and other venues.</p>"}
