She has taught, danced, or choreographed with several groups in New York City including the Ladies Ausxiliary of the Retardate Center (1976-1989), Jacques D'Amboise's The National Dance Institute, Thaeater Rehabilitation for Youth, and Robin Dunn's Hip Hop Technicians. Schliefer has studied dance with several dancers and choreographers such as Frank Hatchett of Broadway Dance Theater and Steve \"Wiggles\" Clemente of the famed Rock Steady Crew. From 1987-2001, she taught at Andries Hudde I.S. 240 in Brooklyn. Her hip-hop class with seventh and eighth grade students became a model for the benefits of hip-hop dance education.</p>"}
