{"value"=>"<p>\"Black Nations/Queer Nations: Lesbian and Gay Sexualities in the African Diaspora\" was a March 1995 conference sponsored by the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies (CLAGS) and the City University of New York (CUNY) Graduate Center. The proceedings of the conference were recorded by Shari Frilot, who then developed an experimental documentary titled <span class=\"title\">Black Nations/Queer Nations</span> from the compiled footage. Interest generated by the conference and viewings of the documentary led to the founding of a Black Nations/Queer Nations? (BN/QN?) organization in New York City whose aim was \"to progress the ongoing struggle for justice, peace, and sexual liberation; fortifying and celebrating ourselves, our communities, our cultural works, and other creations\".</p>"}
