In addition to the main alphabetical run of research files arranged by individual subjects, there are a few larger groupings of research materials on the five major subjects that comprise the five chapters in <span class=\"title\">West of Eden</span>. As with <span class=\"title\">Edie</span>, Stein conducted many more interviews than she chose to include or excerpt in the published book. The interview transcripts included in this collection provide a valuable resource of unpublished commentary from prominent individuals on Los Angeles, the film industry, and the culture and community surrounding it.
