The correspondence documents Kelley's personal relationships and professional activities from his years at Harvard College through his retirement as Vice President of the Chrysler Corporation. Includes correspondence with business colleagues, lawyers, Harvard classmates, employees and associates in civic and social organizations. Individuals include Jane Addams, Paul D. Cravath, Helen Hall, Alice Hamilton, Arthur Norman Holcombe, Paul Kellogg, Read Lewis, Harry Laidler, Russell Cornell Leffingwell, Frederick Paul Keppel, Albert Rathbone and Murray Shields. Organizations and institutions represented within the correspondence include the American Bar Association, American Arbitration Association, American Law Institute, American Philosophical Society, Carnegie Corporation, Council on Foreign Relations, Equitable Life Assurance Society, Intercollegiate Socialist Society, Legal Aid Society, League of Industrial Democracy, Nation Bureau of Economic Research, National Consumers' League, National Civil Service Reform League, Survey Associates, and the Visiting Nurse Service. Kelley's involvement with education is reflected in board minutes of Antioch, Bennington and Swarthmore colleges and Fisk University. Kelley's social club memberships included the Century Association, Knickerbocker Club, Harvard Club, Downtown Club, Cosmos Club, and the Detroit Club of Detroit, Michigan.</p>"}
