{"value"=>"<p>Playwright, comedian and producer. Lyles met his vaudeville partner, Flournoy Miller in Jackson, Tennessee, where he was born. The duo (Miller and Lyles) joined the Pekin Stock Company in Chicago as writers and comedians. They wrote the book for, and appeared in, the highly successful <span class=\"title\">Shuffle Along</span> (1921). They also appeared in the less successful musical <span class=\"title\">Keep Shufflin'</span>. The duo separated, then regrouped again in 1930. <span class=\"title\">Sugar Hill</span> was their last show together.</p>"}
