Since its inception in 1967, teaching personnel have included Beah Richards, Louis Gossett, Jr., and Fayard Nicholas of the Nicholas Brothers. Famed choreographer Donald McKayle led the dance company in 1971, and the Center featured performances by the Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Eleo Pomare Dance Company.</p>"}
