However, like many of Shaw's other book projects, not all of these books made it to publication. Shaw kept all of his Lincoln work together and titled with just \"Lincoln,\" so it is often impossible to determine which Lincoln project a draft or file of notes corresponds to. Where possible, files have been assigned to the publication Shaw indicates they belong to (comprising the first two subseries); all other files on Shaw's Lincoln research and work are located in the third (General) subseries.
