{"value"=>"<p>On June 13, 1971, The New York Times published the first of a series of articles based on a secret government study, prepared by the Pentagon, of American participation in the Vietnam War. (A copy of the study had been obtained by The Times.) Three days later, at the request of the Justice Department, a U. S. District Court ordered The Times to refrain from publishing further articles based upon this study. On July 1, 1971, the series was resumed after the Supreme Court in an historic ruling upholding Freedom of the Press overturned the District Court's restraining order. The study and The Times' series came to be known as the Pentagon Papers</p>"}
