{"value"=>"<p>The extensive Masonic correspondence is the result of many years of comprehensive research by Williamson, whose main goal was to extract from the history of Freemasonry the true origins and authenticity of \"Prince Hall\" or \"Black Freemasonry\" (referred to by Williamson as Negro Freemasonry). In striving to examine the fraternity impartially, Williamson corresponded with Masons in the United States and numerous foreign countries. He also sought to establish recognition of Black Freemasons by the white lodges and to dissolve the barriers of racial discrimination within the brotherhood. Williamson's correspondence touches on every facet of Black Freemasonry - its laws, philosophy and rituals.</p> <p>Among Williamson's correspondents were Aldradge B. Cooper, Arthur A. Schomburg, David W. Parker, Jose Henry Sherwood, Harold Van Buren Voorhis, J. H. Tatsch, Julius O. Aasland, D. K. Abadu-Bentsi and Harry E. Davis.</p>"}
