The Renewable Natural Resources Department was the former name of the ANR. There is a three-year gap in the files. When the files resume in 1988 Kramer has been promoted to the Director of the ANR. Remko Vonk succeeded Kramer as the Director.</p> <p>This subseries is arranged alphabetically by country for each year. The bulk of the files document the work of the ANR under Kramer's administration. Subjects include technical assistance, sharing information about specific projects, e. g., information sent to Ecuador about training of soil conservators in Guatemala (box 1338, f. 5), and requests for CARE-generated materials supporting renewable natural resources. Other topics mentioned include Cameroon Community Forestation Project, vehicles for Haiti, work with other groups such as the Peace Corps, and various topics relating to the budget. The countries include Bolivia, Cameroon, Chad, Haiti, Guatemala, Kenya, Niger, Nepal and Peru.</p>"}
