Box 1146 also contains files documenting the beginnings of the CARE/Peace Corps partnership and the establishment of the first training program for volunteers at Rutgers University in 1961.</p> <p>Files for each country include copies of the contracts between CARE and the Peace Corps, proposals for projects (rural community development, public health, and so forth), project budgets, materials from the training programs for PCVs, such as course syllabi and biographical sketches of the participants; progress reports, and correspondence, including ALVOLs, the administrative memos sent to all PCVs in a country.</p> <p>Coverage is most extensive for activities in Colombia, where twelve contingents of PCVs served between 1961 and 1966.
