Prominent individuals and subjects include: Bulgari (jewelry), Coro-Vendome (jewelry), Coty Awards, England (fashion and social), Erte, Violette Leduc, Oscar and Francoise de la Renta, Zandra Rhodes, Stephen Tennant (colorful and artistic letters), Penelope Tree, and Valentino. The files on Vreeland's wardrobe reflect her style in fashion. One of the earliest letters is an interoffice memorandum to the Vogue staff from I.S. Patcevitch that Vreeland would succeed the retiring Jessica Daves. (1963, box 7, fl 13) . A file for 1971 contains several documents regarding Vreeland's resignation from Vogue. An interoffice memorandum documents that although Vreeland was resigning as Editor-in-Chief, she would continue in the capacity of Consulting Editor, and also as Editor-at-Large..
