{"value"=>"<p>The Huntingtons were prolific writers and this is apparent through a rich collection of family newspapers from the 1830s through 1860s, which are held in the personal papers sub-series. These newsletters were written by Elisha Huntington, his wife Hannah, her twin sister Mary Hinckley and Elisha and Hannah's children. The newsletters which are called The Contribution Box, The Lowell Return, The New York Offering, and Home Journal document the lives of family members and include descriptions of life at Yale Medical School, in Marblehead, Lowell and Worcester, Massachusetts and in New York City and Brooklyn at various periods in the nineteenth century.</p> <p>The Huntington personal miscellany sub-series also includes Hannah Hinckley Huntington's literary manuscripts and notebooks of poems. Her twin sister Mary Hinckley's diaries are also held in the Huntington materials. These date from 1813-1824 and give insight into everyday life in Marblehead, Massachusetts in the early 19th century.</p>"}
