{"value"=>"<p>Series 4 consists of correspondence mostly from Stefan Wolpe to Netty Simons. Though originally part of the Simons's Estate, these letters were purchased separately from the rest of the collection (which was a gift to the Music Division). Because of their different provenance they have been appended as a separate series. Commencing in 1940, these letters capture the relationship of Simons and Wolpe as having progressed beyond that of mere student-teacher into one of deep affection. The letters also contain references to several works on which Wolpe was working, in particular his <em render=\"underline\">Enactments</em> (1950-1953).</p>"}
