{"value"=>"<p>The Louise Homer photos are sub-divided into opera publicity (usually featuring Homer in costume), and portraits for use in concert programs and tour publicity; some may also have been for personal family use. The opera portraits date mainly from her time at the Met (1900-1919), and range from 4-inch by 6.5 inch cards to 15-inch by 12-inch prints. Among the many roles Homer is pictured in are Amneris in Aida, Orpheus in Orpheus and Eurydice and Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana. In addition to the prints there are two albums of opera photos which contain notes on content. The portraits cover a wider timespan, from the 1890s to the 1940s, and tend to be more easily dateable because of hair and clothing styles.</p>"}
