{"value"=>"<p>The bulk of the correspondence is incoming letters to Amy Oppenheim from many individuals that include friends, acquaintances and noted persons. Occasionally drafts of letters from Oppenheim are enclosed with the letters. Case in point, Oppenheim retained newspaper articles about a subject mentioned in the incoming letter. This may include a biographical item relating to the individual who wrote the letter. The Correspondence indicates that she did not travel widely, preferring to spend most of her time in New York City at her residences The Hotel Plaza and (later) the Hotel La Salle. The correspondence also mirrors her socialite and activist status for many causes particularly fine arts. Oppenheim knew many influential individuals and networked with a wide circle of friends in the arts, economics, history, medicine and politics.</p>"}
