{"value"=>"<p>The general correspondence consists of Bard's incoming and outgoing letters arranged chronologically. It covers the entire life of the NRC, with some letters that predate the founding of the Council. Central among the correspondents is Mrs. Walter Lawton, Chairman of the NRC. The letters discuss bills under consideration in state's legislation, (i. e. the Ferris Bill of 1924 that would prohibit signs in the Adirondack Park), the United States government's use of advertising, and include many letters from organizations and individuals wishing to consult with Bard on advertising in their locality.</p>"}
