Included is a report (1929) which outlines the basic program of IALA research; a report (1937-1938) by IALA's technical staff at the University of Liverpool; a report (in French) by René de Saussure on the definitive base of an auxiliary language; and a report (undated) by Alexander Gode on the \"present status\" of research. There are also reports (1946-1947) from IALA's research staff to André Martinet at Paris; minutes (1947-48) of a plenary session of the research staff;; and a report by the director of research regarding his efforts to promote Interlingua while he was attending a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science at Philadelphia. Included also is a report (1931) by the Institute of Educational Research at Teachers College, Columbia University relating to tests and experiments in auxiliary languages with an appendix by Edward Lee Thorndike.</p>"}
