{"value"=>"
The collection contains correspondence, photographs, contracts, family papers, programs, scripts, publicity materials, clippings, and personal ephemera. The collection spans from 1859 to 1998.

Correspondence is mostly personal, but also includes letters relating to professional matters. There are many letters from World War II servicemen from ca. 1940 to 1945. Some letters are grouped by correspondent, one of which is from biographer Lyle Leverich. (Letters from these correspondents may also be found in general correspondence.) Family papers include correspondence and documents for her mother, Mary Snyder (a.k.a. Schneider), and the Wischer and McHugh families.

Also included are personal photographs, some production photographs, a few portraits of Snyder, unidentified family photographs, and some of other performers and people.

There are programs for productions in which Snyder appeared, and other productions. There are also some materials on Wendell Willkie. Contracts for productions include Abie's Irish Rose, Out of the Frying Pan (1941), and for regional theatres. Also contained is a six-month option from Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation in 1943.

A binder marked Scenes contains typed scenes from various plays and loose material. There are also two radio scripts. Publicity materials for Poor Charlie, a 1951 television program in which Snyder appeared, are also in the collection. Also included are two caricatures, possibly done by Snyder. Financial papers consist of pay envelopes, receipts and copies of checks. Personal ephemera include certificates, identification cards, resumes, school report cards, a French schoolbook, tickets, as well as booklets on sewing, Los Angeles County, a souvenir book on the Sunset Route and scenic wonders of Arizona (with two loose photographs and a letter inside), and a children's book catalogue.
"}
