{"value"=>"<p>Leo Morgan (d. 1983) was an American theater and television producer. He worked for multiple theaters owned by Paramount's Publix Theatre Corporation, including the Metropolitan Theater in Boston, the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, and the Paramount Theatre in New York City. In 1939, Morgan was hired as an assistant producer for Warner Brothers' Strand Theatre in Brooklyn, and was promoted to head producer in 1941. Throughout his career, Morgan staged several vaudeville and big band productions and, in 1941, his article \"Staging the Band Show\" was published in <span class=\"title\">Billboard</span>.</p> <p>In 1949, Morgan was hired by the William Morris Agency to assist television booking agent and show consultant Harry Kalcheim. Between 1952 and 1957, Morgan produced <span class=\"title\">The Colgate Comedy Hour</span>, <span class=\"title\">The All Star Revue</span>, <span class=\"title\">Caesar's Hour</span>, and <span class=\"title\">The Dinah Shore Chevy Show</span>.</p>"}

The photographs are labeled with the date, show title, and, sometimes, the performers or the theater in which the performance was staged. Photographs that date from 1941 to 1947 document concerts at the Strand Theatre featuring big bands and band leaders, such as Cab Calloway, Glen Gray, Shep Fields, Frankie Masters, Sammy Kaye, Phil Spitalny, Charlie Barnett, and Ina Ray Hutton. Programs document performances at The Rivoli and Paramount Theatres in New York City between 1926 and 1928.</p> <p>Public Relations files are arranged alphabetically by subject and contain manuals, memorandums, bulletins, and other materials regarding the publicity of Publix Theatres. The files document seasonal, weekly, and other specific types of advertising campaigns; and contests, such as baby popularity contests, bathing beauty contests, dance contests, and movie star identity contests.</p>"}
