South Asian theater artists joined together to create a national presence in the United States for South Asian theater arts. The Silk Road Theatre Project (now Silk Road Rising) of Chicago hosted the first national South Asian American theater arts conference, Desi Drama, in 2007.</p>"}

Four of the scripts are by Anita Chandwaney: <span class=\"title\">On-Track</span>, produced by the Rasaka Theatre Company as part of <span class=\"title\">Yoni Ki Baat</span> (monologue festival inspired by Eve Ensler's <span class=\"title\">The Vagina Monologues</span>, 2010), <span class=\"title\">Helpline</span> (produced by Rasaka Theatre Company as part of <span class=\"title\">Yoni Ki Baat</span>, 2009), <span class=\"title\">Instant Recall</span> (short play produced by Rasaka Theatre Company as part of <span class=\"title\">Culture/Clash</span>, 2009), and <span class=\"title\">Gandhi Marg</span> (award winning unproduced play and Chicago Dramatists staged reading material, 2004-2008). Also included are a script, color photo, program, reviews, and promotional mailers for <span class=\"title\">Barriers</span> by Rehana Mirza, 2002-2003, and a script, program and promotional mailer for <span class=\"title\">Marrying Nandini</span> by Nandita Shenoy, produced as part of the Green Light One-act Festival, July 2007.</p> <p>There is also a recording of <span class=\"title\">Yoni Ki Baat</span>, 2009; the exact nature of the recording is unclear.</p>"}
