The club's aim was to offer educational outings, lectures, and other opportunities in art, theatre, dance, politics, and history. The club's magazine, <span class=\"title\">ZIG ZAG</span>, was published from July 1946 until May 1963. During that time, the Enthusiasts attended many dance productions in the city and the greater New York area. The New York Enthusiasts were directed by Hans Hacker from the early 1940s through the late 1950s. As director, Hacker organized outings for the group and solicited articles and advertisements for <span class=\"title\">ZIG ZAG</span>.</p>"}
