He established the Kenneth Rinker Dance Company in 1979; the company was active through the 1980s. Dance works that were choreographed by Rinker and performed by his company included <span class=\"title\">40 Second/42nd Variations</span> (1979), <span class=\"title\">Cantata #84</span> (1980), and <span class=\"title\">Generation Pieces: 168</span> (1981).
