The first volume contains the library's Articles of Agreement signed by subscribers (December 12, 1797), incorporation documents (December 18, 1797), trustee meeting minutes (December 21, 1797-January 14, 1845), and a catalog of books belonging to the library. The remainder of the collection comprises accounta recording members' payments of dues, fines, and other expenses, miscellaneous accounts, and lists of library books (1797-1804)"}
