She was also the pianist and singer at The Pittsburgh Trio, with Emil O. Wolff and Joseph Derdeyn. Carrie Mayer studied piano under Harvey B. Gaul and J Alvin Dise, and singing Emil O. Wolff and Ernestine Schumann-Heink. She died in 1999.</p>"}

Other publicity material includes clippings and a collection of press releases on Carrie Mayer’s career around 1928. The collection also includes information about two of Carrie Mayer’s singing teachers, Ernestine Schumann-Heink and Harvey B. Gaul (1881-1945). The collection includes a commemorative list of his compositions, which Carrie Mayer created around 1948. There is no substantial amount of correspondence. The few letters that can be found in this collection have been filed along with the individuals with whom they are related. Oversized material includes publicity matter for Carrie Mayer and Ernestine Schumann-Heink. The collection gives an interesting picture of concerts in Pittsburgh between 1923-1938.</p>"}
