Additionally, the papers contain letters from Fremont's wife, Jessie Benton Frémont, including one to an unnamed recipient in Washington vigorously defending her husband's reputation; letters from their daughter, Lily; autographs; and a circular letter from the First and Third Ward Republican Association"}
